Who we are
Stolen is run by [company name, address]. We decide how your information is used (the “controller”). Questions or requests: [privacy@your-domain].
What we collect
- Your account: email address and password. Passwords are stored encrypted by our login provider; we can never see them.
- Your answers when you join: first and last name, how you’ll use Stolen, age range, gender, country (optional), styles, what you’re looking for, budget and where you shop. If you’re a stylist, also your experience and goals.
- Your stylist page (if you create one): name, city, bio, photos and looks. These are shown to other members.
- Saved looks: so you can find them again. Private to you.
- Activity, only if you say yes: which looks you view and save, which products you click to shop, and what you search and filter for.
Why we use it
- To run your account and the site: to sign you in, show your saved looks, and publish stylists’ pages (needed to provide the service).
- To improve Stolen: we look at the answers members give in total (for example “most members want ideas for clothes they already own”) to decide what to build (our legitimate interest).
- Trend insights, only with your consent: we combine activity from many members to spot trends, and may share or sell anonymous trend reports to brands and retailers. A report only includes a group if it contains at least 10 people, and never includes names, emails or anything that identifies you.
- Emails, only with your consent: news about stylists, looks and features. Account emails (like password resets) are always sent.
What we never do
- We never sell or share your personal information: your name, email, answers linked to you, or your individual activity.
- No advertising trackers or third-party ad cookies.
Who helps us
These providers process data for us under contract, only to run Stolen:
- Supabase: login, database and photo storage (data stored in [region, e.g. the EU]).
- [Email provider, e.g. Resend]: sends account emails.
- [FASHN]: only if a stylist uses an AI model; receives product photos, not your personal details.
How long we keep it
Your account information stays until you delete your account. Activity is kept for [e.g. 24 months], then deleted. If you withdraw consent for trend insights, your activity is deleted straight away.
Your rights and choices
In Your account you can, at any time:
- see and change your answers;
- turn trend insights or emails on or off;
- download a copy of all your data;
- delete your account (Close your account).
You can also contact us for anything else, or complain to your data protection authority ([e.g. the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali in Italy]).
Age
Stolen is for people aged 18 and over.
Storage on your device
We store a small amount of information in your browser to keep you signed in and remember display preferences. This is essential for the site to work; we don’t use it for tracking.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
